CRFB – Corpus of Roman Finds in the European Barbaricum


This international project deals with Roman findings made outside the borders of the Roman empire from the Baltic sea to the Balcan area. It was initiated in the 80ties of the 20th century in the former German Democratic Republic.

CRFB is a databank project of the RGK (Römisch-Germanische Kommission) of the DAI (Deutsches Archäologisches Institut). Project coodination by Siegmar von Schnurbein und Hans-Ulrich Voss, Frankfurt am Main.

The database has been developed by the CHC group in 2005.
